Jerszy Seymour

Jerszy Seymour is a Canadian UK-born artist, designer and educator who has dedicated his work to the transformative potential of art, design and activism, with the goal of creating ‘situations for a possible planet to come’. He describes his practice as a continuous workshop, exploring themes of non-hierarchical cooperative organisation models, mutualism, social and ecological justice and ‘a world where many worlds can coexist’. Humour and a necessary abject, dirty approach is fundamental to his practice. Since 2011 he is the co-founder and director of the 'Dirty Art Department’, masters in art and design, at the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam.
